I've been learning to severely lower my expectations, and if I get one or two things done all day, like putting on deodorant or getting the mail, then it's been a success :P AnneMariehttps://www.blogger.com/profile/13462442204217572325noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-2758330335100037759.post-82732119198011968512016-07-09T17:17:54.176-05:002016-07-09T17:17:54.176-05:00Glad to hear you're doing so well. I still haven't figured out how to get much done during the day with the baby at home (even though I've had 6 tries to figure it out) and I've concluded that the answer is: you don't. Not much, anyway. I try to be patient with myself.Jenny Evanshttps://www.blogger.com/profile/06320766378823015885noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-2758330335100037759.post-16579275139655721012016-07-07T13:16:52.544-05:002016-07-07T13:16:52.544-05:00Thanks! I have so much respect and admiration for women who, like you, have a toddler and a newborn at the same time; I'm sure it's tricky to do things for yourself when you have two little people vying for your attention! My recovery after my first was so difficult that I feel so great in comparison! It's also hard to take it easy when you have a toddler who still needs mommy to bathe her, change her diapers, etc.<br />As you pointed out, knowing yourself is Shannon @ Of The Hearthhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/13211053395897432251noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-2758330335100037759.post-17369060140417400452016-07-03T16:08:47.389-05:002016-07-03T16:08:47.389-05:00Yes-as much as I keep trying to take it slow, I ke...Yes-as much as I keep trying to take it slow, I keep forgetting that my body needs to heal, and I keep being tempted (but trying to not succumb!) to start doing way more than I should. Jacob and I have been playing a computer game together which has been helping me to sit and chill more. So glad you enjoyed Bringing Up Bebe! It's done loads to help my perspective in these crazy newborn days, AnneMariehttps://www.blogger.com/profile/13462442204217572325noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-2758330335100037759.post-70521941348279515982016-07-01T15:17:33.717-05:002016-07-01T15:17:33.717-05:00That's a really good point! I like the idea of doing your nails or putting on lipstick, because I'm sure that helps you feel a lot more "put together." In fact, I rarely wear makeup, but I think I'll give that a try sometime :) AnneMariehttps://www.blogger.com/profile/13462442204217572325noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-2758330335100037759.post-18150610748630858442016-07-01T14:47:39.240-05:002016-07-01T14:47:39.240-05:00Yes, yes, yes to the self care. He is precious. I won't tell you to enjoy every second, but try to enjoy those good ones ;)Ann-Marie Ulczynskihttps://www.blogger.com/profile/13855303309031758189noreply@blogger.com
